Interpretation
In a continuous connection with my past, I started constantly thinking about the times I had to live in a hostel that I disliked so much, I felt so hedged in. Giving that thought an expression, a spill out of frustration, I deconstructed the toy I made as a model for the bigger works and shut it in a box. It works as a direct transformation of the way I felt into a visual, a toy trapped in a box. The box is left open but with a grill, so it contains the toy inside and at the same time exposes it to be seen by anyone outside the box. My works do not only deal with what I feel but strive to appeal to and represent the larger group of people that go through similar experiences and swim in the same flood of emotions.
